From today, I am starting "Life hack of the day"

These will be from different areas: fitness, focus, work, relationships, kids, money, tools, mindset, habits, just about anything

The aim of these hacks is to make your life a bit better
Life hack of the day 1

Never keep any decisions for morning
Decide a night before on what to eat, what to wear, which exercise to do, what lunch to pack for kids, all daily tasks

This will free up a lot of mind bandwidth which you can use for meaningful tasks
Life hack of the day 2

Never assume that the other person knows what you want, even if it seems completely obvious

That job promotion, that additional amount from the client, that bigger piece of pizza, whatever it is

Ask for it specifically!!
Life hack of the day 3

Don't just READ the book.
Instead
- Read
- Take Notes
- Identify ideas that can be implemented
- Implement those ideas
- Review your progress
Life hack of the day 4

On exercise Rest days don't literally REST as in sleeping for 10 hours

Have active rest days. Do
- Yoga
- Walking
- Jogging
- Pilates
- Foam roll
- Anything that keeps you moving
Life Hack of the Day 5

Use a small chunk of your weekend to look back on the past week

-What went well
-What could have been better
-Improvement areas for coming days
-What all is carried forward to next week

This way you will not feel lost when you resume work on Monday

Walk as much as you can

Workout or No Workout, but walk you must

Never start the workday by answering mails
It eats up precious mind space as it opens new threads to be processed

Rather start with the most important task of the day and keep at it for a couple of hours
Life Hack of the Day 8

Don't listen to sad songs when you are feeling low.
Sad songs will worsen your mood.

Listen to upbeat music and more often than not you will start feeling better
Life Hack of the Day 9

Always better to eat a bit less than to overeat for dinner

Overeating at night seriously messes up with your sleep and the repercussions are felt throughout the next day
Life Hack of the Day 10

As soon as you get a great idea,
ACT on it
Take that first step, even if it is just to write the idea in detail

The more you delay, the more difficult it will be to get started
