What I love about disability Twitter is that so much of it is people being like “This is my Crip body and how it works” and people responding and sharing because their body works like that too and they didn’t think about their body that way. We are building language about bodies.
This is actually a kind of scientific inquiry and embodied knowledge production that isn’t respected by any institutions but which often mean more and have more impact on our lives than official forms of knowledge production.
We are doing knowledge work in these tweets. Naming the body and explaining it to each other through embodied and potentially revolutionary forms of philosophy, sociology and science.
