Okay - so for everyone wondering about the age guidelines - it’s 9-45. It’s not that it’s not effective after 45, it’s that insurance companies don’t want to pay for it.
Yes, I *know* there are technically explanations for them stopping at 45 but it’s mostly bullshit. I even chatted with my doctor about it. It was because insurance companies don’t want to pay for it forever cause they’re fucksticks.
Like, there are literally doctors in my mentions applauding this thread and the men are telling me I should rewrite my tweet to make it more clear for THEM

Honestly wasn’t expecting this tweet to get so much traction but I’m super happy it did because I think vaccines are a fucking medicinal miracle and if one person asks their doctor about the HPV vaccine and gets their shot, It’s a good thing.

As an aside - there is research to show that the efficacy of preventing the high-risk strains does not lessen with age. The research also shows, however, that the efficacy of cancer prevention does lessen with age.
