Look VeggieTales taught me morality. They are the only reason I am not a remorseless monster and also why I never eat tomatoes https://twitter.com/KevKoeser/status/1386330011754401799
Also Prince of Egypt is not Christian. It is a Jewish film about the central figure of Jewish religious beliefs. Christians gotta stop doing this shit
Like the "Old Testament" isn't Christianity. You can't slap Jesus on it in retrospect and then claim the stories as Christian
And I am not the person/Twitter is not the venue to adequately explore and untangle millennia of religious complexities but Christianity was an off-shoot of Judaism that was consumed and refashioned by imperial Rome to create a church and state that were interchangeable
Because Christianity has a deployable tradition of proselytizing and missionary expansion, the goals of Roman imperialism were easily adapted to a form of governmental Christianity.

That imperialism could go backwards as well as forward.
Christianity from Rome onward has been primarily a political tool used to justify expansionism.

It's not the only religion to do this of course. But its core tenets are about conversion.

And Jewish people have suffered millennia of violence at the hands of that inherent tenet
So to claim Jewish stories as Christian, even if Christians have a religious tradition that retains some connections to those stories, is just more imperialism. It's the forced conversion of centuries of Jewish faith and culture
What I mean is--and again I am not a religious scholar so this is entirely and grossly simplified--if Christians want to find what connections exist between them and the stories of Moses and Jonah that's fine.

But do not make them Christian
Also I lied I do eat tomatoes.
