Breaking: 4505 new cases for Ontario. More after 10am.
Remember, when cases surge there can be volatile daily case reports and corrections. Public Health is very busy in some regions. Let& #39;s wait to see.
And in fact Peel is reporting 1,232 compared to a 7 day average of 783 and 507 yesterday. Toronto is reporting 1,257 so this is likely a Peel data catchup meaning that recent days were underreported.
I hope you are learning to wait for the trends and explanations. Don& #39;t let daily numbers influence you.
This goes for Rt and test positivity too. Daily Rt is influenced by erratic case reporting by symptom onset date as well.
While I await the updated files, a shoutout to @ONDigital and the Ontario open data team for helping to keep Ontario informed. @traviskann
