Breaking: 4505 new cases for Ontario. More after 10am.
Remember, when cases surge there can be volatile daily case reports and corrections. Public Health is very busy in some regions. Let's wait to see.
And in fact Peel is reporting 1,232 compared to a 7 day average of 783 and 507 yesterday. Toronto is reporting 1,257 so this is likely a Peel data catchup meaning that recent days were underreported.
I hope you are learning to wait for the trends and explanations. Don't let daily numbers influence you.
This goes for Rt and test positivity too. Daily Rt is influenced by erratic case reporting by symptom onset date as well.
While I await the updated files, a shoutout to @ONDigital and the Ontario open data team for helping to keep Ontario informed. @traviskann
