HOW YOU CAN SET THE TONE FOR YOUR FAMILY.

A big question that people have is: "How can I help my family live a healthier lifestyle?"

Let me tell you how I did it:

[THREAD]
First of all - it all starts with YOU.

It takes time to start making healthy changes, and you can't force people to do things.

So how do you convince them to make these changes?
1. You set the tone 🌊

Setting the tone means putting the work in prior.

You've got to get RESULTS from what you've done before being an authority for change.

You can't TELL PEOPLE what to do, but you can show them WHY they should make changes.
People are too scared to change unless you can be there for them.

By showing you've done it, you can help make the path for them easier.

They need direction, and you can lead them - but it all goes back to you making the changes first!
2. It takes TIME ⏰

Be patient.

You can't get frustrated with "why aren't my family members listening to me?!?"

It takes time for them to digest what you're doing and if they want to buy in.

This also starts with small changes, so take those victories!
Here are some victories from my family:

✅ My dad started working out
✅ My brother's just as strong as me
✅ Our dinner table looks a lot healthier than before

Even with the wins we have snacks around at times,

But it's the small HABITUAL changes we've made over time.
3. The Snowball Effect is HUGE 📈

Things pick up quickly with more changes.

It took 8 months for the first change.

The second change took 6 months.

The third took 3 months.

Be patient for the first change to occur, but once that happens ...

The snowball REALLY picks up.
There are a TON of changes that have to be made as a family, but we've got the snowball rolling.

The biggest thing to understand is that it takes time.

Be patient, don't get angry at them (I'm guilty at times),

And they'll make changes with your help.
You can't tell people what to do, but you can show them what to do once they commit.
