What’s your favorite bookshop within like a four hour drive from Boston? I finally have a few days off and thinking of doing a road trip.

Okay. So. A lot of them huh? Heading to plainville then northhampton. Then I’ll figure it from there. Thank y’all so much for holy shit knowing the name of every bookstore in new England.

Okay. So. @unlikelybkstore only had one copy left but they let me sign it and put a sticker on it and everything. BUT they’re close to my brother so I’ll be dropping by again when the new order comes in.

Next stop @belmontbooks, if I can beat the traffic

Well @belmontbooks now has a few shakily signed copies because this happened and then my agents called and I had to cry in the parking lot for awhile.

Okay. New plan due to hangover+bookstores having weird hours right now+I make poor decisions+ @BiblioReckah’s day off today. Heading west to @OblongBooks so I can meet @cmaum then northhampton tonight and hopefully hit a couple stores in New Hampshire and Vermont tomorrow.

Finally have a signal again and @OblongBooks in Millerton has signed copies of my book. Thank you @cmaum for old man sandwiches. And this essential book. On to Northhampton where I believe there are a few bookshops.

Got to Northhampton too late to find a book shop but not too late to hit the dispensary. I need to find a hotel, and a new playlist. The Mavericks are the wrong damn soundtrack for driving past places named Holyoke that look like movies. Felt like I was tripping.

Really thought today was Saturday but hello Friday I guess. @broadsidebks is sold out of me as of this morning. So, off to New Hampshire to @GibsonsConcord.

I keep seeing signs for moose but there are no moose. This is bullshit. But also probably for the best. I would 100% try to pet a moose.

Minor delay getting to @GibsonsConcord due to the coolest person on this planet having the same idea. This is not the first time I’ve been late to something because of the @vp motorcade but definitely the coolest.

So @BiblioReckah took me for pizza and you should follow her. she’s the reason @GibsonsConcord now has a LOT of signed books.

They’ll ship them. Just, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Snuck in ten minutes before closing to meet the absolutely lovely @ShopFarms. They now have signed copies. Bonus: this is a storybook bookshop in a storybook village and I’m pretty sure I’m about to find a lobster roll.

I am enjoying my “Damn the man. SAVE THE EMPIRE” road trip a lot. But in case this message isn’t clear. Let’s be real damn clear: Please, please, please buy from independent bookshops. We need them. They need you.

Gotta quit this habit of sneaking in right before they close. But I have it on good authority (mine) that Meg @copperdogbooks now has a pile of signed copies.

Apparently I now wake up at the crack of Dawn like some sort of psychopath. So, coffee. Then we’ll see if @PorterSqBooks has any of mine left to sign.

Okay well the coolest damn thing happened. walking up to the @HarvardBooks and @moxie04576 met me outside! Then we had to find the books, was signing those and Meritt asked for one at the register so I got to sign that too. Anyway there is now ONE signed copy left!

Okay I hear @booksmithtweets might have copies left so I’m gonna swing by and check.
