He said "i'll have you on again". People say that but necessarily mean it. He did... over and over. To me an awkward guy like me a regular spot in an hour program in prime time was kind enough... But tbh, that really doesn't get at it...

This is a guy who invited me over to hang, gave me a briefcase that I know meant a ton to him, etc... What I'm saying here is that he is a friend... and as someone who doesn't have a ton of those (because see me being awkward)... It's been truly great.
