with covid cases rising, flu season, and SAD approaching here’s a few holistic ways to stay healthy and sane this season: (a thread)
have a morning routine. fill your mornings with self-care. less phone time. more you time. drink a daily cup of room temp water or tea w/ lemon, ginger, and turmeric.
take your daily vitamins and supplements. some must haves are vitamin D, probiotics, seamoss, goji berries, spirulina and supergreens.
more plant-based home cooking. so more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds. think 80/20 with fruits and veggies being the majority.
movement! finding movement you love and committing to an exercise schedule. on days you don’t move, at least carve out time to do a deep stretch.
have a daily spiritual practice. meditate. journal. pray. be present and practice gratitude as often as possible.
pick up a creative hobby. play with your inner artist and do more things that you enjoy. random dancing, adult coloring, painting, drawing, writing, learn a new instrument. just get as creative and child-like as possible.
quality sleep! having a night-time routine that embodies self-care. a skin-care routine, read a really good book, give yourself a massage, take a warm bath, diffuse your fav essential oils. be sure to wind down and get 7-9 hrs of quality sleep.
more warm, grounding herbs and foods. so root vegetables like beets, carrot, garlic, ginger, onions, sweet potatoes, rutabaga, and turmeric.

and herbs like ashwagandha, bergamot, chamomile, lavender, rose oil, sandalwood, valerian root and ylang ylang. https://ariellesimone.co/shop/plantbasedstarterpack
