Post-acute "long COVID-19" mostly presents with fatigue, myalgia, shortness of breath, and headaches.

The most affected organs are the heart and lungs. Impairment is often worse in formerly hospitalized cases. Neurological testing was not performed.

The post-acute symptoms appear to arise primarily from a combination of lingering pulmonary damage, persistent inflammation, and vascular endothelial damage.

Cognitive problems are suspected to result from the latter two.

Limitations include a lack of endocrine panel data.
