No matter who they are or how terrible they may be, nobody *deserves* to get sick.

Please don't forget that.
Like there's so many ways to talk about hypocrisy and malice and negligence and fraud without saying that illness is the punishment.

Illness is never a punishment.
When you talk about illness like it's a punishment because somebody you understandably don't like got sick?

Your sick friends can hear you! Your sick friends who tried really hard not to be sick! Your sick friends who did not choose to put themselves at risk of illness! Stop!
And to be super clear, I'm not saying we should wish Tr*mp well! We can feel however we want to feel about his potential suffering and the impact it might have on the election.

Just stop buying into the just world fallacy, because it hurts a whole lot of people every single day.
(just gonna do a little thread inception here)

"What is the just world fallacy, you ask? Allow me to explain!" https://twitter.com/bennessb/status/1311999912272330761?s=19
I'm going to mute this so I can ignore bad faith RTs.

I wrote this thread immediately after waking, because I'm one of the people who can't depersonalize Illness As Punishment discourse.

If you don't relate, I strongly recommend the Just World thread that I wrote when awake.☝️
