Recommendations to avoid overuse injury in youth athletes

- Delay specializing before age 12
- One sport at a time
- At least 2 days off per week from organized training & competition
- Do not take part in organized sport activities for more hours per week than the child’s age
The @NATA1950 released an official statement with health-focused recommendations to reduce risk of injury due to youth sports specialization.
