Unless you take care of your team, they will never take care of you.
People need a salary so that they run their home, meet their basic needs, and be in a sound state to perform the day job.

What I learned from 'the Negotiation' episode from @theofficetv is that - Salary is not everything, Perks matter too. Bt with tht said, if u r a bootstrapped entrepreneur & hustler, I'd say, cut down your own expenses & start saving to 'hire' right talent.
This also shows you don't have a plan for what you are trying to achieve in your own business. Having someone work on incentives means, you are not taking a risk or want a commitment. Get your skin in the game.

What they lack is,
(1) 24 month Plan
(2) Planning for funding for 12 month
(3) Plan B if both 1/2 go wrong

(1) Little Passion
(2) Some Vision

For early-stage companies - Funding is important but what's more important is the #Talent and #Team- Having funds and not having a passionate team to work on the product/project is a failure. You won't be able to run operations and get the desired output.
So in case you are a hustler/solo entrepreneur reading this thread.,
