At some point, projects started coming in and never stopped, and I’ve tried to pinpoint the exact project that opened the door and launched me into the #translation/ #interpreting sphere. I’ll get the ball rolling, but I’m curious about your experiences!

My very first paid project was inconsequential from a business standpoint, so I consider my first real ‘business launching’ project to be a long-term #revision project I got thanks to @farukmardan's referral, who already worked for them as a ZH translator.
The client was happy with my work, kept me on the team and started assigning me #translation projects as well, to the point that they’re still one of my main clients today - I work for them on a daily basis. (rates have gone up, of course!)
They were instrumental in turning my business into a full-time career. I confess that I would probably be on the fence about taking that project today as I prioritise #translation and #interpreting projects over #revision.
