Ten Lessons to being the greatest version of yourself.

From the Greatest Combat Sports Athlete of all time.

~~~ Thread ~~~
The mind of a Philosopher.
Body of an Athlete.
Spirit of a Rebel.
The one and only Muhammad Ali.
1. Do what you gotta do:
"I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion."
Everyone wants the glory.
Nobody wants to do the work.
Those that are willing to suffer in the beginning.
Will end of at the top.
2. The world rewards the brave:
"He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life."
Society wants you to take the safe route.
School, Job, Retire.
While there's nothing wrong with this lifestyle.
Greatness requires breaking out of the cycle.
3. The path to glory isn't what it seems
"The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights"
How great you become is equal to the work you are willing to do when no one is watching.
4. You are not living, if you are not learning:
"A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life."
You should always be progressing in life.
Every few years, looking at your past self and laughing.
Constantly growing.
5. Embrace defeat.
"Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even."
When life beats you down, it is giving you the fuel you need to overcome anything.
6. Pay it forward.
"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth."
You are blessed with life.
Just the fact that you are here on earth.
Always be good to those around you.
It is your duty as a fellow human being.
7. Give more than you take:
"To be able to give away riches is mandatory if you wish to possess them. This is the only way that you will be truly rich."
Don't be greedy.
Always give what you can to those who need it.
The universe has a way of rewarding those that do.
9. Visualize. Act. Achieve.
“If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it—then I can achieve it"
Figure out what you want from life.
Have absolutely 1000% faith that nothing can stop you.
Act on this every single day.
Don't stop till everything you want, is yours.
Muhammad Ali - Arguably the greatest boxer of all time.
When all the odds were against him.
Rose up, rebelled against everything and cemented himself as a legend in the history books.
Take what you can from these valuable lessons and apply to them how you see fit to your life
