I’m sure I’m not saying anything that isn’t obvious, but...

1. There’s a good reason our police departments tend not to encourage volunteer posses and/or armed teenage randos to help them maintain order

2. And yes, imagine a black or brown kid showing up with his own gun

Kenosha law enforcement believes that unarmed black men are savages, poised and ready to grab the first weapon they can find to attack their fellow citizens. But white teens with guns are no big deal; they’re clearly there to help the police subdue the aforementioned savages.

The presumption of who gets to be a “good guy with a gun” sure seems to be closely connected to skin color, doesn’t it?

Must be why the NRA never supports black registered gun owners like Philando Castile. Because their pretense of “standing up to tyranny” was always a ruse.

Donald Trump is an authoritarian who wants the police to have more power to squelch dissent under the flimsiest of pretenses.

That goes for the Republican Party, the NRA, and all others who support him. Regardless of how much they claim to celebrate liberty & individual rights.
