1/ Lots of questions (and yay @ all the other fasters!), so going to answer here.
2/ Recommend two books, both on Amazon: "The Obesity Code" by Dr. Jason Fung (gives the science behind it, also a number of youtube videos) & either "Delay Don't Deny" or "Fast Feast Repeat" by Gin Stephens for a quick start.
3/ It's not a diet, so there are no cheat days. You decide your eating window for the day. The benefits come from getting your body back into balance.
4/ Last Thanksgiving, I ate alllll day without regret. And the next day, too (leftovers!). And went back to fasting that Saturday.
5/ Normal for me (but everyone has diff strategies that work) is a 20 hour fasting window, 4 hour eating window (20:4 or OMAD - One Meal A Day). I have a full meal and then a dessert etc to close my eating window later.
6/ There is nothing to buy. No one to pay off. No nutrition bars to buy. I feel better, I spend less on food, I've lost weight without trying.
7/ You already prob fast about 12 hours a day. And sometimes skip breakfast, so not a big deal to go 16 hours. Don't overthink it :).

Get the books I recommended up thread, either print or audio, and learn why it works. And why it is important to eat (no starvation).

Good luck!
