Whether you think you can or you think you can't...

You're right.

Think this is a platitude? Think again.

Do you have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset?

Do you know the difference? If not, I'll teach you!

[A THREAD] ⏬
If you...

- never want to risk looking stupid

- think your abilities are set in stone

- believe your intelligence can't be increased

Then you have a FIXED mindset

(and you're wrong)

⏬
People with a FIXED mindset are the type to

- never try anything hard

- never ask anyone for help

- blame luck and circumstance for other's successes

⏬
But if you...

- aren't afraid to fail

- know that you can learn any new skill

- understand you grow smarter as you learn

Then you have a GROWTH mindset

⏬
People with a GROWTH mindset

- step up to challenges

- lean on others to get the help they need

- understand they are responsible for their results

⏬

Anyway, you lean more towards having either a FIXED mindset or a GROWTH mindset.

Having a growth mindset leads to progress and achievement.

Having a fixed mindset leads to stagnation and failure.

If you have a fixed mindset, you can change it with conscious effort. How?

⏬
You have to shift your thinking.

When you're faced with challenges, tell yourself you CAN overcome it.

If you want to learn a skill, tell yourself you CAN learn it.

When something goes wrong, ask yourself how you CAN do better next time.

⏬
See the trend? It's all about turning your CAN'T into CAN.

Once you realize you CAN do anything you want to

You're free to do anything you want to
