Why you are NOT a morning person

THREAD
Every person has a master biological clock ticking away inside their brain, and dozens of smaller biological clocks throughout his or her body.

Unlike a normal clock, not every person’s biological clock keeps the same time or even at the same pace.
If you’ve ever heard someone say, “I’m not a morning person”, well there is a reason for that.

Your body has been programmed to function much better at certain types of the day than others.
Based on general morning and evening preferences, different people fall into different classifications, called ”Chronotypes”.

There are four Chronotypes and each will reveal exactly what you need to do to work with your body, not against it.
DOLPHIN CHRONOTYPE

- Dolphins are light sleepers that have a tendency towards insomnia

- They should start their day with a workout around 6:30am

- They should eat breakfast an hour after waking up and do their best work between 10am & 12pm

- They should sleep around 11:30pm
LION CHRONOTYPE

- Lions wake up early, full of energy and drive, but take a nosedive in the evening

- They should wake up about 5:30am and do any daily planning an hour after waking up

- The best time to exercise for lions is around 5pm, and bedtime should be around 10pm
BEAR CHRONOTYPE

- Bears have a high sleep drive and need a full eight hours

- They take their sleep cues from the sunrise and sunset

- Bears should wake at 7am and aim for a short and simple workout

- Creative brainstorming should happen between 8-10pm

- Aim for bed at 11pm
WOLF CHRONOTYPE

- If you need several alarm clocks to wake up, you're likely to be a wolf

- Wolves should do some outdoor exercise upon waking

- Lunch should be around 1pm and the afternoon should be focused on creative work

- Bedtime for wolves should be later around 12am
