I love watching the transphobes melt down over using inclusive language for reproductive organs. https://twitter.com/cnn/status/1288948978088804355">https://twitter.com/cnn/statu...
I am an “individual with a cervix” and there is absolutely nothing “dehumanizing” about using inclusive language. I’m still here. Still human. Still have a cervix.

Yeah - it’s “individuals with a cervix”

Yep. Still “Individuals with a cervix.” Literally doesn’t take away anything from my cervix or my womanhood to note that it’s not just cis women who have a cervix.

Why are cis men so upset by this? https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🧐" title="Gesicht mit Monokel" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Monokel">

Hi Rick! Woman here - I’m not upset by this tweet. Why are you?

Hi Leys! Cis women, trans men, non-binary persons. Does that help or are you just a transphobe being an asshole?

OH NO THEY SAID “INDIVIDUALS WITH A CERVIX!” HOW DO I KNOW I HAVE A CERVIX I AM NOW SO CONFUSED. IM GONNA IGNORE THIS REALLY IMPORTANT MEDICAL REPORT TO PONDER ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT I HAVE A CERVIX
I mean, neither is “individuals with a cervix” but here y’all are flipping your shit.

what I’m finding interesting is how many cis men seem very upset and confused about something they don’t actually give a fuck about.

I mean, you can, but it would be inaccurate. My cervix will be fine knowing that CNN used inclusive language, Jason.

I went through some of the quote-tweets and the number of cis men who suddenly care about cervixes is something to behold - (there’s a LOT of cis men commenting - probably more than cis women, tbh)
There’s a few words for it, Matt! Cis woman, trans man, non-binary persons! That’s why it’s easier to just say “individuals with a cervix.” I promise you my cervix is just fine knowing it’s not the only one.

Just an FYI - this article also *specifically* speaks to people who’ve had hysterectomies. If you do not have a cervix - which many cis women do not because of said hysterectomies - you don’t need this screening.

Anyway, in case y’all didn’t know - because you’re too busy being transphobes - the previous recommendation for the HPV test was 30+ years old. The assumption was it would be useless because everyone in their 20s would probably test positive. This is a GOOD THING.
If you reach adulthood and don’t know you have a cervix, the problem is not CNN using correct and inclusive language.

Seriously though, if saying “individuals woth a cervix” made you unsure whether or not you had a cervix, the problem is you. (And your jokes are not funny)
Lol at people who think that people who don’t speak English don’t know what cervix is. Or that doctors don’t speak other languages....
