#WhyImATransAlly the answer to this question honestly ought to be "because I am a human being and trans people are human beings and it is the bare minimum of basic humanity to believe we all deserve equal access to resources, safety, and respect"

I mean I know we live in a world where believing that sort of thing is revolutionary instead of just like....the way it should be...but the idea there has to be a "why" regarding the support of trans people is sad and frustrating

We should be forcing people to justify why they DON'T support trans folks. The default position for cis people ought to be one of support.

And like, I'm not putting down the cis ppl participating in the hashtag because we live in a world where the default position ISN'T support. So cis ppl speaking up for non-cis folks is good and I'm happy for it but I hate that we're in this position in the first place
