This is hard to say but I believe in the interest of authenticity it’s important to share bad news sometimes too. So, here it is: Bari Weiss unfollowed me.

I know. It’s a lot to take in. I was still trying to come to terms with her following me. I tried to tell myself it’s because I’m cute. We believe what we need to believe.

Now I’m left with these questions. What did I say? Could I have said it earlier? Was it the pandemic hair? It’s hard because I don’t know exactly when it happened. But some time between the last time we were making fun of her, and I checked, and now, Bari left me.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your thoughts and prayers, and respect for my privacy during this difficult time. I can only tell my truth, and maybe if she’s following you, you’ll find hope, that one day, if you shitpost enough, she may cancel you too.

All I have are the memories. And the self respect of knowing I never followed her back.
