And yeah, Charles Lee completely screwed up at Monmouth. Between him and Gates, GW didn't even need to have the British as an enemy

Also, don't forget that Philip Schuyler basically funded the northern theater of war, even after asshat Gates replaced him - and Burgoyne burnt his house for it

Six years of war since 1775 - it's hard to fathom what that did to the colonies, to the people.

And yaassssss, referencing Hamilton's going into Yorktown with unloaded muskets, code word, "Rochambeau" - which got turned into "Rush on boys"

George 3 gets his revenge - in that France & Spain piss each other off and then the brand new USA basically skips out on all its debts to France & gets into a low intensity conflict with them - all sets up France's debts & revolution

And the great sorrow of the Founding - that the northern colonies subdued themselves to the southern planters for the preservation of slavery - and never honored the service of the enslaved. Did the opposite, in fact.

The whole Federalist - anti-federalist debate is worthy of its own musical, esp the bit where the Federalists push the Constitution's ratification through the States with some, uh, interesting measures (like telling everyone Tom Paine loved it, when he didn't)
