I love how people on the right are like, "You're such a lib. You don't know anything about guns."

Fam. I'm from Georgia, alright? I grew up shooting guns. I shot my first deer when I was 6 years old. I keep my 92FS on me at (almost) all times. I know guns, and gun safety.
This couple in St. Louis, at the very least, (choosing the most charitable opinion possible) -- exhibited extremely poor gun safety. That's poor trigger discipline, not being aware of where the barrel was pointed, and showing poor form with how the gun was being handled.
Believe it or not, I do believe in responsible gun ownership. Part of understanding the privilege of owning guns means knowing it's 100% *not* okay to threaten passerby with my guns.

If someone poses no harm to you, and you are not in imminent danger, a gun is not your answer.
A gun is a tool, and the task it performs is death. If you are looking at my gun, it is because you or someone around you is either dead, or dying.

It's not a tool for looking scary while people walk through your neighborhood.

That's what Halloween masks are for for.
I find it highly unfortunate that so many people who prop up the Second Amendment are so quick to see guns as a solution to... *waves hands around*... fucking stupid ass neighborhood disputes.

Getting more granular, I also believe in safely operating guns you own, along with performing basic maintenance.

The AR-15 is a common design, and when a round is fired, the spent shell ejects from the right side. You can't fire an AR-15 holding the right side against your body.
For all the reasons I outlined, I believe the actions taken by the couple in St. Louis are indefensible, and antithetical to the cause of responsible gun ownership. Everything they did was negligent, uneducated, and dangerous.

No one should be cheering them on.
