Agoraphobia is a fun new thing half of us have now. I have to leave the house to go to a doctor in 2 hours. I woke up at 4am. I am not ready.
Been taking little trips outside the house, like one step at a time, to take out the garbage and stuff. Each time I see an unmasked person and run back into the house. I am looking into whether flinging trash everywhere is an effective defense, like how skunks spray.
Does my car even run right now? Who knows. Will it need gas either way? Definitely yes. Will strange men approach me while filling up my car like they did pre pandemic? Maybe.
(BTW why does this happen? It happens to literally all of us. Why?)
I forgot that you can’t just “drive downtown” or “park downtown” or “get gas downtown” or “make a turn downtown but it’s ok I’ll take the next one”
You also can’t “leave your insurance card at home and see the doctor”
This waiting room has 75% more unmasked red headed children than most!!
(I found a photo of my insurance card)
*miss a turn

I’m scared and out of it. Why are these children dressed like Victorian ghosts?
I have noticed that I am paler than the red headed children, but my leg hair is way darker, like an omen of their future
Jk kids today don’t have a future
Their mom has professionally painted toenails. Someday, as they are being sold for crops, they will reminisce about her arrogance
An elderly man in this waiting room is holding his bible and praying out loud.
I haven’t been out in a long ass time. This makes sense but is it common? He is most definitely sane
Side note think the doctor forgot any of us is here
YES REMOVE YOUR MASK TO SNEEZE NEXT TO THE ELDERLY PRAYING MAN AND YOUR CHILDREN GOOD JOB LADY
AAAND this waiting room just became a David Lynch film. A lovely gentleman my age just has an empty hamster cage. No bedding.
Praying man was just called in. He has the same name as my father. It is common. I will miss the mumbling prayers because they were consistent. They felt grounding.
I am doing this room zero justice. As a Jew, I was not taught much about the afterlife. I’m also not religious at all. What does purgatory look like? They keep calling for “Rachel.” Rachel is not here.
Oh fun woman who works here is not masked
