Hey if you& #39;re chronically ill and feeling particularly powerless because your body does not have the stamina for direct action against injustice, how are you?
Like I get it, there aren& #39;t many spaces to talk about this because that often involves centering your illness and stamina in conversation with people who Don& #39;t Have The Bandwidth right now & absolutely don& #39;t owe us any bandwidth.

But I have the bandwidth, that& #39;s why I& #39;m asking.
And like, this brings up so much of the old "other people are struggling too but still find a way to do [x]."

I& #39;m not talking about very valid calls for white people to surrender their comfort in pursuit of meaningful change.

I& #39;m describing a lifetime of ableist gaslighting.

Here& #39;s the inadequacy of the word comfort again.

It& #39;s important that Americans, particularly white Americans, feel uncomfortable right now. Unlearning the settler propaganda you were raised on is not comfortable.

But sometimes sick bodies really can& #39;t survive more discomfort.
(I& #39;ve been directing more tweets at white people lately [see: 2 tweets in this thread, a thread yesterday] and I just want to say that I don& #39;t normally think that I& #39;m only talking to white people when I tweet. There& #39;s just a lot of stuff I want to yell at other white folks rn.)
