The people tweeting that John Boyega shouldn’t be using his platform to speak out “until he’s bigger in the industry” are showing their nyash as the type of people who will sit by and watch others suffer.
How much “bigger” does one need to get???

It’s a lie that a lot of people tell themselves that they’ll say something when they’re in a more comfortable position.

There will always be something to be “lost” but nothing that your higher self would’ve needed anyway.
Every time I jump on this bird app I’m aware of the opportunities that don’t land because I’m “too outspoken” but I’ve made peace with that.

When you’re ready to loud it up, just do it because eventually your type of people who share similar values will gravitate to you.
Sometimes you wait and wait until the “opportune” time to speak out and by then the community you want to speak on behalf of don’t trust you because you’ve been silent for so long.
We all have our choices to make but when you see someone stepping into their purpose and using their platform in a responsible way, and you don’t agree, best to just face your front and keep roasting your suya in hell fire. 💛
