In life outcomes, predispositions (can) have a disproportionate effect - a flare for art, extreme strength, aggression, a mathematical brain, etc

As far as health is concerned we may have some -ve predispositions which we shd be aware of.

T2D runs in my father's side of the family - I focus on that as it is the single thing which can undo everything else.

Maybe yours/your family's predisposition is obesity, alzheimers...
...NAFLD, Bi-polar, cancer, neurological disorders, TOFI....

Also, I'm an ectomorph, as I age I need to ensure to keep up my strength and muscle mass, as it degrades faster than a mesomorph's (for instance).

Reducing ur health risk means to identify where ur health fragilities lie, & use that as ur risk reduction metric
What are your family's -ve health traits? Concentrate on retaining your robustness by keeping those traits at bay.

It goes w/out saying that one has to look at general health; however, my father's side is carb intolerant (predisposed to IR) - reducing carbs/insulin is more...
..important to me than someone who is carb tolerant. I don't accumualte fat easily, you may. Keeping your fat in check is your focus.

Find out what could be your 'undoing' - that is your primary focus.
