Enger: so before we start the game let’s take a moment to introduce our
characters
Neil Gaiman: my character is Pecos Bill

Gaiman: my character is pecos bill
Gaiman: he isn’t so much a man as an idea!
Gaiman: sustained by the power of belief! His power comes from the dreams of
innocent children
Enger: huh
Enger: yeah I dunno if you’re really getting the vibe here

Gaiman: pecos bill is the embodiment of the classic dream that is The American West
Enger: um
Enger: we’re not really going for a heroic feel
Enger: this game is about despair and devastation
Robert E Howard: lemme talk about my character
Enger: oh boy

Howard: my character is Robert “2 Gun” Howard an’ I’m the roughest toughest hombre in all the west
Howard: any galoot, I’ll shoot ‘em down!
Enger: 2 gun, are you just describing yourself
Koontz: my character is Gorkus the orc barbarian
Enger: dean, you’re confusing games again

Enger: So one of the madmen from the wastes informs you that there’s a new monster in the area called The Ornery Varmint
Howard: I shoot The Ornery Varmint with my peashooter!
Enger: ok so The Ornery Varmint is impervious to lead
Howard:
Howard: well heck I’m all outta ideas

Howard: I shoot The Ornery Varmint again!
Enger:
Enger: The Ornery Varmint is still impervious to lead
Howard: I’m gonna roll the dice
Enger: bullets don’t work
Howard: I rolled a 12

Howard: that means I shot it, right?
Enger: YOUR PARTY HASN’T EVEN LEFT TOWN YET

Enger: look maybe you all can talk a little amongst
yourselves and figure out an alternate solution
