Two nights ago, Tues 20/05/2020 , I saw a movie where an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was set to explode in New York .

The FBI detected the location of the bomb but were helpless, a Nuclear Oncologist suggested they stopped the remote activation of the

bomb with a Faraday shield . "Faraday shield is an enclosure used to block electromagnetic fields"

They couldn't get any within that shot span of time but the Oncologist noticed a Microwave Oven lying around, she picked it up immediately and placed it over the IED.

When the Jihadist bombers tried activating the bomb from their location, it didn't explode. The IED couldn't receive the signal anymore, hence, the FBI had saved New York from a potential bomb blast.

Armed with this knowledge that shows a Microwave oven is a Faraday shield,

I decided to carry out an experiment.

I had a Microwave oven, but I did not have an IED. Since my test is to show that the Microwave Oven can stop network Signals i.e. Radio Waves at any frequency, I decided to use my mifi device i.e. "Wireless router that acts as mobile

Wi-Fi hotspot".

I put my mifi device beside my Microwave oven, and I was still getting Wi-Fi signals on my phone . So I put it inside the Microwave oven, closed it, and the Wi-Fi signal disappeared from my phone completely. The Microwave oven had been able to completely

shield the Wi-Fi signal from getting out.

But I noticed nonetheless that the mifi device in the microwave, despite not being able to send out Wi-Fi signal , it was still receiving glo (the Sim Card network) network reception , I figured that the reception frequency was

higher, hence it could penetrate. So I decided to take my experiment a step further.

With the mifi device in the Microwave oven, I switched on the Microwave oven for 2 seconds, and oh No! , within 2 seconds all Signals both within and without were stopped,

the Wi-Fi broadcaster and Network receptor was destroyed.
No signal could go in or out any longer.

Finally, I was able to confirm that the Microwave oven is a strong Faraday shield , and it can stop an IED from being remotely controlled.

RIP to my mifi device, still coming on but no Wi-Fi broadcast nor Network reception .
