Typically you won't see much relevant advice on here about getting in shape under involuntary lifestyle limitations, because most of the trainers were either very fit beforehand or don't have spouses and children.

It is still entirely possible to get fit and strong if you do.
I started on this path shortly before the birth of my first children, my twin girls.

I have never known a time in which 8 hours of sleep was likely or that I could train where and when I wanted. Everything had to be structured around my life or it wouldn't work, I understand.
The first key is:

Flexibility:

Because your kids will disrupt the best layed plans!

(Ex. For years I trained while my kids napped because it was the only workable time. It needed to be done. I never block out more than 4 training days in a week, I plan for 3 days of NOPE.)
The second key is PATIENCE:

"You'll hit a 295lb bench press by year two"

Not if you have babies keeping you up half the night.

Set expectations for slower, sustainable gains. Try to go as hard as the people who are 15 years younger and in control of more factors, bad outcomes.
The third key is EFFORT.

You are going to need to train with intensity and brevity. 90-120 min slogs in the gym are going to burn you out. That isn't optimal and you don't have the time for it anyway.

Be smart. Sometimes less is more.
