And stop saying "it's the NYT so....." The guy is quoted on the record saying this. This isn't an anonymously sourced story.
Sorry, I guess everything I talk about should be preceded by a 3-tweet thread full of qualifiers about how this is all assuming he's telling the truth and also include a full accounting of my opinions on Trump or COVID, otherwise people will assume I turned into another person.

Putting allegations like this on record is a very serious matter that carries infinitely more weight for me than anonymously sourced stories, but this whole affair is already fishy.
