Our kids are watching. They see that as they go to daily online class meetings or help sessions,and get assigned YouTube videos and virtual tours, and do photo, video or PowerPoint projects, some of their peers get a soggy, edu-jargon filled paper bundle every two weeks. 1/5
They see that some families share a single old computer with multiple kids trying to wade through a steady stream of school work, while stacks of ChromeBooks sit idle in their schools. 2/5
They see that internet access is an essential utility like heat and lights, but corporations and governments don’t really care if some people can’t get it or can’t afford it. 3/5
They are watching, and they see gross inequality all around them. They see who is working to change things, and who pays lip service while happily upholding the status quo. They see all of our systemic failures and indifferences. 4/5
