I keep seeing people dunk on young people, so I'll explain this one more time.

it wasn't 13% of young voters turned out, it was 13% of voters were young. which was actually a majority of the young population. there are just more Baby Boomers on account of the whole... baby boom.
people ages 18-29 make up 16% of the population. a great big chunk of them voted. boomers just increased their turnout even more.
essentially what happened here is the boomers got the pill, quit having kids at the rate of their parents, and then criticized us all for not having more siblings
(incidentally, I begged my parents for a little brother when I was five and was denied, so this is entirely on them)
I shouldn't have said majority, I haven't had coffee yet, i mean relative to population. I have no idea if it was a majority or not.
