I loathe that Biden is the nominee but this is predictably exactly what happens when you imply centrist Dems are idiots and make them dig in to defend themselves: They bring every Machiavellian Rahm Emanuel trick to the table and we end up with the minimum viable candidate.

You wanted Bernard or Bust and congrats, the centrist Dems gave us Bust. No skin off their nose, they've built the Party for years on not trying very hard at all.

The tantrums+ swarms of the Online Left made it easy for mainstream Dems to portray them as the rabid lunatic fringe and thereby dismiss all good progressive ideas. The concept that Dems will, for one second, court the progressive vote now is BONKERS. Their guy won, they're done.

This is why you needed Warren, she's a card-carrying progressive who's been undermining and shaming capitalism for over a decade and knows how to cosplay as "reasonable" so centrists listen to her points. The trolling Online Left just antagonized ppl without persuading.
