I had to see for myself that this tweet was real. I was convinced it was photoshopped. It was not photoshopped.
Could you imagine the New York Times tweeting this about a republican? Hell, even most celebrities wouldn't get this kid gloves treatment by the Times.
For the record, I didn't look deeply into Reade's allegation but I've seen skepticism from people I trust. But again the fact that it isn't treated similarly by the media, at least in terms of reporting on allegations like this existing at all, is outrageous.
And it frustrates me because then I find myself having to defend the New York Times or Washington Post if they publish something important and accurate because people will dismiss them offhand, and it traces right back to stuff like this.
I still think that Trump's rise isn't related to how the media covers Republicans and more to how the media covered Obama. If he had received at least somewhat acceptable levels of scrutiny, skepticism, and appropriate negative reporting, idk if Trump would have happened.
"UR BLAMING THE MEDIA FOR TRUMP"

Stop it. Things like this have a million reasons for happening but this was definitely an ingredient in the recipe for grandma's Trump stew.
