This is the thing. We don't even have to bail out the USPS. All we have to do, the one and only thing, is to get rid of the insane GOP law requiring it to prefund 75 years worth of pensions for its 650,000 employees.

Because they've had a bone to kill it and privatize mail delivery for their rich donors for three decades.

Why won't they get rid of it now?

Because they know it will kill vote-by-mail and lower turnout.

Couple other fun facts about @USPS.
1) It's entirely self-funded, by law, and has not taken a penny of taxpayer money in a very long time.
2) It's the only government agency whose existence and continual operation is CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED. It is illegal for the USPS to end.
