Before this I couldn’t imagine a scenario where 20,000 Americans die and the president doesn’t grieve or even pretend to show empathy. We should never stop talking about how this isn’t even remotely okay.

(3) There are many horrific & deeply sad American epidemics like HIV/AIDS that my initial tweet doesn’t include (not on purpose, I was thinking about memories in my adult life) Just so sad to witness in real time as an adult another adult lacking any sense of empathy whatsoever.
