Ok Twitter tell me your worst "I was stung/bitten by a bee/wasp/spider/snake WHATEVER" story I want to hear about nature fvcking you up
The weirdest bee incident I ever had was when I was camping with my family & my mother's boyfriend's brother and his kids and one of the kids and I were climbing up this hill literally right next to each other and she suddenly started screaming and I was like what is happening
and she's just wildly screaming and flailing and I'm standing right there next to her worried she's like....having some weird hallucination because I couldn't figure out what was wrong and she starts rolling down the fucking hill
and I start chasing after her to keep her from getting hurt and I'm like WHAT IS WRONG PLEASE TELL ME

Well we'd both stepped on some sort of ground-wasp nest but while we were standing not a foot apart, all the wasps started attacking her while ignoring me COMPLETELY
Luckily she was ok and she didn't have a bad reaction or anything but she'd gotten dozens of stings while I was untouched and I guess she thought I was some sort of Wasp Witch because she never spoke to me again
I was 12
Ok my husband has the best story I think. Back when he was a flying crew chief he was part of the mission support for when the secretary of defense went on a big Middle East circuit. Because of reasons I guess instead of the special plane, the Sec. Def. had to fly on a different
plane and my husband was the one guiding it in (idk if that's the right word) when it landed in Jordan. Anyway, he was in the middle of a massive landing strip in the desert and a wasp flew between his sunglasses and his EYEBALL while he was waving in the plane
and he said he has never been more afraid in his life as the wasp struggled between his EYEBALL AND THE SUNGLASSES because he couldn't knock it away since he was, you know, guiding in the plane with the secretary of defense on board
He got lucky because it stung him right below the eye, not IN HIS EYEBALL AGH and when he finally could he knocked his sunglasses away and his buddies on the plane saw him like, flail around wildly on the runway for (as far as they could tell) absolutely no reason
