Hi, in honor of Army of the Potomac Kicking Ass Week, here's some dogs of the Army of the Potomac. This is Jack, mascot of the 102d Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh

He is SUCH a good boy
Unk corporal with the FLOOFIEST pup
George Custer before he got all genocidal and was a good officer, with a smol dog
Rufus Ingalls was the chief quartermaster of the Army of the Potomac - later of the whole US Army - and knew a thing or two. Like the importance of dogs. This is his dalmatian
George Stoneman and staff, with complete florped pup
Unknown infantry officers with a gently shaking dog
And of course, Sallie, the mascot for the 11th Pennsylvania, who loved naps and her soldiers

Killed in action outside Petersburg in 1865
Ok, not to end on a super sad note, here's Harvey, of the 104th Ohio. Not an AoP dog, but a good Buckeye through and through. He was wounded in the Atlanta Campaign but made it thru to head back home to Wellsville, OH to have many good borks after the war
