after u smosh and briefly roast the potato u just pour some garlic infused heavy cream over them and just keep roasting until the garlic infused heavy cream has cooked away
i toss potato in olive oil and lots of salt and then roast on a foil covered cookie sheet until soft and then smosh them

with a foil covered cookie sheet u literally have no cleanup as long as u are careful removing the used foil what more can u ask for my frens
i use a daikon grater to grate the garlic into a paste and just drop it into an open carton of heavy cream and shake it up and let it sit for a while then just pour it over the hot smosh potato https://twitter.com/leahmcelrath/status/1247596257620656129
