Big name chefs on tv appearances with crocodile tears after laying of hundreds if not thousands of employees. @shakeshack isn't an independent restaurant, it's a publicly traded company and it's worth billions. Why do they need anything from that? https://twitter.com/racefortheprize/status/1247305001807917056
Why does this shit happen and how does @dhmeyer become the face of small independent business?
It's just a big PR grab to show that they care but they are so far up their own asses that they think they're not big, like McDonald's is big, but not them. Yeah right. It's a slap in the face for actual small businesses who don't have millionaire or billionaire investors
It's so hard!!!! People are fucking dying and these guys are playing grab ass on tv. Every single one of them.
The money will all go to big chains, hotels, and resorts. Trump is leveraged in these so that's where they will go. Why is anyone surprised or still trying to make it seem like anyone that is small will get help? Didn't happen during the last recession.....
All of these restaurants that are talking about fighting for things will be fine. A lot of others won't.
Look. Another one that doesn't need it but sent an application!!!
At the top of the industry are a lot of people that say one thing and do the other. They'll play into "family" so hard but you know what? My parents never fired me or laid me off. Hundreds of people can get these assholes awards, fortune, and fame but the people below? Nada
This, on a local level. "I'm Broke" and then.......
Opens a new restaurant!!! How the fuck is this ok? How do you sleep at night?? I'm waking up every hour or so hoping that I can get my shit straight so we keep this going. Zero investors, no hope for a loan, and just hustling however I can. Fuck these guys. All of them.
