I& #39;M GOING TO START A NEW THREAD BECAUSE SCROLLING DOWN IS GETTING ANNOYING SO HERE ARE MORE REASONS I DISLIKE HARRY POTTER https://twitter.com/ellle_em/status/1245726363329400833">https://twitter.com/ellle_em/...
61. I get very annoyed at a lot of the narrative choices JKR makes, especially later on in the series. FOR EXAMPLE:
the fact that in Book Six, Harry doesn& #39;t think it& #39;s important enough to continue extra defense training
the fact that in Book Six, Harry doesn& #39;t think it& #39;s important enough to continue extra defense training
62. Like ok. Harry doesn& #39;t like or trust Snape, especially after the events of the fifth book. He doesn& #39;t understand why Dumbledore trusts Snape. He thinks Snape could very well be a secret Death Eater
But nah, it& #39;s not important to continue extra training w/his classmates
But nah, it& #39;s not important to continue extra training w/his classmates
63. This is completely out of character. Harry& #39;s distrust of Snape is a thing established from the first time he meets him. Yet he just....accepts Snape is teaching them legit defense & he doesn& #39;t have to do anything about it EVEN THO HE BELIEVES THERE& #39;S A CONSPIRACY AT HOGWARTS
64. Like Voldemort is still back!! And moving more openly!! And everyone is in danger!! And more than ever you& #39;d THINK Rowling would find it important to create stronger bonds between the school-aged characters but nah, let& #39;s devote chapters to Harry staring at a wall
65. The entire sixth book is really irritating because it& #39;s paced so nonsensically and so little happens.
Like this is the book where Harry& #39;s supposed to learn the things he needs to know for the Book Seven final showdown and he.....learns about Horcruxes. That they exist

66. That& #39;s it. Dumbledore wastes his last year of life away by giving Harry the most basic Cliff& #39;s Notes versions of Voldemort& #39;s past instead of being like "ok look, I think Voldemort made these soul things but I& #39;m not sure, still we should operate on the assumption he did"
67. Like literally every book ONLY EXISTS BECAUSE DUMBLEDORE DOESN& #39;T DO SHIT ABOUT SHIT.
Book one: Dumbledore thinks Quirrell is maybe gonna pull some shit but doesn& #39;t do ANYTHING
Book two: h KNOWS the Heir of Slytherin is Tom Riddle but doesn& #39;t do ANYTHING
Book one: Dumbledore thinks Quirrell is maybe gonna pull some shit but doesn& #39;t do ANYTHING
Book two: h KNOWS the Heir of Slytherin is Tom Riddle but doesn& #39;t do ANYTHING
68. Book three: maybe the one book where for most of it he really couldn& #39;t have done anything BUT at the end???? He could have solved the problem in 50 different ways instead of sending two 13-year-old kids into illegal time travel zone w/o help
69. Book Four: he suspects Voldemort is getting stronger & then the kid who Voldemort wants more than anything to murder is MYSTERIOUSLY forced into a deadly competition and yet Dumbledore literally ignores Harry for 9/10ths of the book because....who knows
70. Book Five: AHHH GOD I COULD WRITE A BILLION REASONS ALONE ON WHY BOOK FIVE SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN "HOW NOT TO WRITE NOVELS" CLASSES
nothing ANYONE does makes sense except maybe Harry sometimes. And not in a "ooo fantasy" way....more in a "wow this author can& #39;t plot" way
