We all know hydroxychloroquine is actually an immune system suppressant, right?

IF it works against COVID, it works in severely symptomatic patients with high viral loads who are already hospitalized and probably on ventilator support. It's a Hail Mary.

That's not who Trump is telling to take hydroxychloroquine. He's telling people it's a preventative.

So you have people who either don't have the virus yet, people with very low viral loads, or asymptomatic people taking a drug that is going to suppress their immune system at exactly the worse time and probably leave them more vulnerable to becoming severely symptomatic.

Meanwhile people with Lupus and RA are going without their treatments, increasing stress on the hospital system at, again, the worst possible time.
