They're also pretty much monsters. When you see Bernard's press secretary harassing Kamala Harris, whose mother died of cancer, you see what many Bernard supporters are made of. They don't care about improving anything or helping anyone. They just want to be emotionally violent.

My views are on the left but I find Bernard's movement to be an excruciating level of cringe. It claims to want to help people but it shows no human decency towards anyone. Its language is abuse, its method is abuse, its goal is abuse, it is just Trumpism for the left.

Anyone who claims to support socialism but commits or stays silent for the verbal abuse of women online - or excuses it as "necessary" for the cause - is a flat-out fraud. They're just misogynists. Own it. More importantly: Stop calling women names. It's gross and it's creepy.

Look how many of these people work in newsrooms and you see why we have structural problems with coverage of women's issues. They go online and verbally abuse women for clout, then they write or edit stories minimizing and diminishing women's concerns. Gaslighting all day long.

If the online strategy were based on principle that would be something, but they have no beliefs. They claim to hate millionaires but their leader is one. They claim to hate landlords but their leader is one. They shame others for doing what their leader does. Just hypocrisy.

They don't even have the courage of their convictions. They rarely use their names. They depend on troll farms and sock puppets to create the illusion of a bigger movement, while they use those resources specifically to attack and alienate people to keep them out of the movement.

Even now, when their candidate has crashed and burned, they insist on trying to "revive" his campaign by renewing their online attacks, but somehow never on Trump. They only attack Democrats and progressives. They don't have the courage to take the fight to where it belongs.

You cannot have a successful political movement, for the left, based on abuse and cowardice. It's pathetic and disgusting and literally *everyone* is sick of it. Find a new strategy FFS.

I'm going to keep talking about it as long as it keeps happening. The Bernard Brother online movement is flat-out bad in its misogyny and also highly ineffective in its politics. It is a blight on the left and it is holding back progressive ideas. It is just an abuse machine.

Anyone who supports that movement should be taking a good look at their beliefs right now. It has consistently locked out women, people of color, disabled people and everyone else in favor of white-male "class struggle." Why would you support that? Serving white men's interests?

White men on the internet rebranding socialism as a misogynist, racist engine of verbal abuse is the greatest trick the devil ever played, honestly.

On some level it is sad that people would act out leftist Lord of the Flies scenarios just to feel like they can have some feeling of belonging. But real causes bond people through mission, everyone working towards a goal, not mass verbal abuse. They have really lost their way.

Imagine taking this level of aggression to someone waiving (below-market) rent and not to the banks and corporate landlords who are evicting people. That's what this movement is: Cowardly and low-stakes. It's sad that this is all the left has right now. This is your plan?

The Bernard Brothers see themselves as underdogs but they aren't. They're just insecure bullies who are trying to control and manipulate others through verbal abuse. They are abusers at this point, making everyone online walk on eggshells to avoid angering them. F*ck that.
