Something that isn’t spoken about enough in weight loss & healthy eating is seasoning and spices. A lot of people are under the misconception that healthy food = bland food. That isn’t the case. It’s important to make food tasty to maintain healthy eating habits (Thread)
A high-sodium diet upsets the fluid and electrolyte balance in your body, raising your risk of developing high blood pressure and heart disease. The seasonings you use in your recipes may cause you to exceed your daily sodium recommendations.
Avoid seasoning salts, such as onion or garlic salt. Rather opt for onion powder, garlic powder or use the fresh or minced versions of these flavorful vegetables instead.
Mixed seasonings, such as Veg & Potato seasoning or our beloved Rajah curry powders are convenient, but their sodium content varies.
Check sodium content of all mixed seasonings before purchasing, and choose low-sodium or sodium-free varieties.
There are herbs and spices that make food tastier and have multiple benefits such as boosting metabolism.
These include : Turmeric, Cinnamon, Cayenne pepper, Cumin, Ginger, Rosemary, Cardamom & Black pepper.

My advise : make your own salt free spice blends 😍
Lemon juice is also a great low-calorie way to flavor drinks and recipes. It's a great source of the antioxidant vitamin C, which helps fight infections, assists with iron absorption and helps make collagen.
