THREAD: If you're an athlete/coach who uses @MotusGlobal it can be difficult at times to know what to do with the data you've collected.
I wanted to highlight a few of the areas I have been exploring with athletes @DrivelineBB

A:C Ratio
A comparison of your throwing workload in the short term (
days) to the long term (
days).
Past research has shown a 26x increase in likelihood of injury in HS pitchers with an A:C Ratio above 1.3.

Acute and Chronic Workload
As Acute Workloads
over time so too does Chronic Workload
Chronic Workload can be thought of as a throwing "fitness" level
Higher Chronic Workloads allow for bigger increases in Acute Workload without A:C Ratio being >1.3

1 Day Workload
A better measurement of workload than throw counts
Varying numbers of throws can result in the same 1 Day Workload dependent on the amount of stress of each throw

1 Throw Workload
The value of each individual throw
Able to compare between different intensity workouts, different drills, and even different ball weights

Throwing Stress Over Time
We can monitor spikes in stress, in addition to workload, and give athletes a deload when appropriate

With the use of products like @MotusGlobal on a day-to-day basis there are so many opportunities to continue to learn more about workload and stress within baseball!
