🩃Mini Thanksgiving Thread 🩃
If your a seasoned #Keto vet or Rookie and your goal is to stay on track this holiday season, then this is the one to watch out for....1/8
Thanksgiving is the worst to backslide, not only are you around a lot of desserts but even the normally acceptable food is tainted like candied ham, glazed turkey, sugary deviled eggs, green beans with french fried onions etc. etc. 2/8
And often we travel to others house so you are kinda stuck to make whatever is there work, not only is the temptation of food there but often there is overwhelming peer pressure, not having options and peer pressure are a lot to deal with....3/8
I have seen many people cave on this holiday and get into the mindset that they screwed up so they might as well wait until after Christmas to start over, then Christmas turns to New Years and by then a lot never go back...4/8
When that happens, it typically leads to eating SAD and binging on holiday's & junk food for like 35 days, that is plenty long enough to reverse a lot of progress and let a negative mindset kick in leading to being off track longer or sometimes forever...5/8
So you have 2 days, you know where you're going. Are they going to have options for you? Don't know? Ask! If you don't want to ask, bring some stuff you can eat, what doesn't get ate by the carbies will be nice leftovers...6/8
If you have a bunch of jerks as family members then you're going to face some uncomfortable talk, especially about your food choices and your weight if you've lost. Prepare some zingers now to shut their ass up quickly...7/8
In closing, you can do this, prepare now and there is no reason this can't be a easy day to get through, don't comprise your plan and goals because your unhealthy 500lb uncle Billy is concerned for your health & guilted you into eating a while pumpkin pie to feel normal. 8/8
