What are some of your favorite songs that have a mismatched tone and subject matter? I& #39;m talking stuff like Seasons in the Sun, Golden Brown, and Blister in the Sun (weird I named two "___ in the Sun" songs here). Suicide is Painless is another one but the title clues you in.

I don& #39;t think this is used enough in music. Cinema learned a long time ago how to exploit this disparity between tone and content. I think an up-tempo song about a really dark topic can be more effective than a super sad song about the same thing.
