He would have turned 100, had he been around today.
He left us in 2002.
Not many care to, doesn't mean he is forgotten.
It is a shame, that one of the Greatest Heroes of India, is far from remembered on his Birth Anniversary

He was an institution builder, a true sculptor, and some of his greatest edifices stand strong in defence of HINDOOSTAN!

He was a fine judge of character

His Victories are known to one and all, his failures, far and few, known to even less.
He was short tempered, minute eye for detail, meticulous with paperwork,
and God help you if you made mistakes while drafting a file- You had it. Such was Shri RN Kao

He stood by the women and men who worked with him, protected them to the hilt, and commanded unquestionable loyalty. Shri RN Kao led from the front, and did not believe in heresay.
He would rather be on the ground, than sit in office.
He was an Ops Boy sleuth.

Shri RN Kao believed in quietly bumping off individuals, for greater good of society. He never forgot a name or face, and was razor sharp.
Prior to his demise, he burnt his personal papers.
However, some of it will see the light of day in 2032 or so.

Wonder if the PMO, or anyone of our great minds of state will say a word or care to remember Shri RN Kao on his 100th Birth Anniversary.
After all that he had done, for Flag And Country. Is it too much to expect?

In 1998 or 1999, RN Kao was called by Atal Vajpayee, on the state of the intelligence agencies.
At the end of the meeting, Kao sa'ab told him: "Sir, Bureau and Agency are your two swords."

Rameshwar Nath Kao could well be described as Noor e Hind.
Forgotten by the Establishment he protected all his life, but he continues to be a guiding light.
India owes it to the man who changed the map of Asia.
